U of T Indigenous Community Gathering

Indigenous students, staff and faculty are invited to the University of Toronto Indigenous Community Gathering on October 3rd at the Hart House Farm. This will be an opportunity to share space with each other and to prioritize community care following the National Day for Truth & Reconciliation (Orange Shirt Day).

This event is organized and supported by the Office of Indigenous Initiatives, Hart House, the Faculty of Arts & Science, the Faculty of Kinesiology & Physical Education, Woodsworth College, UTM Indigenous Centre and First Nations House.

Location: Hart House Farm, 15911 Terra Cotta, ON L7C 3G8

When: Monday October 3, 2022 | 12 – 4 PM

Getting there:

* Shuttle bus:

* Leaves St. George Campus, 7 Hart House Circle, 11 AM

* Returns to St. George Campus from Hart House Farms at 4 PM

There will be lunch, traditional teachings, and a sharing circle with Elders Eileen Antone and Dorothy Peters. One-to-one support will also be available through First Nations House.

Accessibility: Please note, the front of the grounds (parking, the farmhouse, and picnic area) is not paved. There is an accessibility ramp to enter/exit the Ignatieff House, as well as an accessible washroom inside. Access to the trails and pond is not accessible.
