Indigenous Voices: An International Conversation with Riley Yesno (Ba 2021)
September 28, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
In recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, join the Centre for International Experience for a conversation with trailblazing U of T alumna Riley Yesno (BA 2021), a queer Anishinaabe scholar, writer, and commentator from Eabametoong First Nation.
Learn from Riley’s unique global perspective on Indigenous issues and advocacy, shaped by her involvement with internationally renowned institutions and events including the UN climate negotiations, the Stockholm Forum on Gender Equality, TEDx stages, and more.
From being the first Indigenous member of her family to graduate from a university, to serving on the Prime Minister’s Youth Council, to pursuing a PhD in Indigenous and Canadian politics, Riley’s experiences and perspective will educate and inspire.
Refreshments will be provided!
